T31 Spare Wheel Carrier     (Available in stock now!)    

This wheel carrier is only available to fit the right hand side of the car, it has been developed to carry the spare wheel when a vehicle is fitted with LPG and the gas tank is mounted in the spare wheel location.

This wheel carrier fits on the R/H side rear of the vehicle, it mounts to the R/H chassis existing bolt holes and an additional bolt is secured through the vehicle tow lug. There are four 12mm holes needed to be drilled to mount the catch mount plate assembly. The catch mount plate assembly fits through the R/H reverse light aperture in the bumper and bolts to the vehicle body. The pivot assembly fits over the bumper onto the chassis and leaves the bumper intact. The standard powder coated finish is satin black.

The carrier does not have a locking system in the carrier head to accommodate a padlock, because of the small centre hole and the smaller stud pattern holes in the wheel. To lock the wheel to the carrier, purchase the correct wheel stud lock with a M12 x 1.5 thread (as fitted to a Toyota) (Note: NOT supplied in the kit).

No Towbar is required to fit the wheel carrier in place as it directly bolts onto the chassis and is completely independent from the towbar frame.

Provisions to relocate or reposition the number/rego plate are provided and supplied with the wheel carrier kit.
